Sustainability

Sustainability in our operations has been embraced since 2006, when we purchased our first Prius. This was done for two reasons:

1. Lower business expenses
2. Lower CO2 output.

With our fleet of Priuses (don’t worry, they all carry 22’ ladders!) we have racked up over a million miles and they average 42mpg. They are less expensive to operate and reduce CO2 emissions compared to trucks one frequently sees other inspectors using.

Also, our main office is “net zero” for our entire electrical load: heating/cooling, lighting, computers/server, thanks to a solar system installed in 2018. With real costs savings (Our electric bills are less than $20/month) and theoretical savings of about 3,000 lbs. of CO2/month, solar is easy on the pocketbook and easy on the environment.
